First up this week for the Lady Bulldogs was a visit from Valley Stream South. It was a special day as it was Senior Day. Seniors Chrissy DeMott and Liz Dinolfo were given flowers and gifts by their teammates and coaches as a show of appreciation for their hard work and dedication to the success of this year's team. Congratulations and good luck in college.

Then a great game followed. It was a scoreless tie going into the bottom of the fourth inning. Kate Schamberger lead off the inning with a walk and later scored on a single by Erin Dodge, who was also brought in by a fielder's choice hit by Jen Grella. The Bulldogs added another run when Kate again led off the sixth inning with a walk, stole second, went to third on a wild pitch and scored when Beth Hughes hit it to the right side of the infield for a fielder's choice. Great defense by outfielders Corinne Vinberg, Gina Brewer and Becky Santoriello kept it a shutout. Final score, Bulldogs 3, South 0. DeMott finished with seven K's, while only allowing four hits.

Finishing the season with a record of 14-2 and winning the toughest conference in Nassau County was just awesome. Now the Lady Dawgs will try to defend their title.

First, the seeding meeting, where the Bulldogs were seeded #1. Their first round game would be against Lynbrook. A virtual unknown, but DeMott and company would come out on top. It was a scoreless tie going into the bottom of the fourth, when Kate Schamberger, Beth Hughes, Jen Grella and Gina Brewer each singled and scored four runs. In the seventh, the Bulldogs scored four more to make the score 8-1. Senior pitcher, Chrissy DeMott had 15 K's and three walks to get the victory.

Next up is another tough game against Carey High School from Franklin Square.

Finally this week, congratulations go out to all of the country award winners. All County honors went to seniors, Chrissy DeMott and Liz Dinolfo and junior, Rebecca Santoriello. All Conference winners were juniors, Kate Shcamberger and Jen Grella and seventh grader Beth Hughes. All Division honors went to junior Erin Dodge.
