This past week the Division Baseball Team beat Great Neck North three times to sweep the series.
In game one Jesse Darcy was the winning pitcher hurling a nifty 1-hitter, striking out 9, and waling only one batter as Division won 9-0. Ray Montoro led the offense with 4 RBIs, including a 3-run homer. Chris Castellano had 3 hits, Tom Messina had 2 hits, and Keith Feldman had 2 RBIs.
In game two Josh Flinn led the Dragons to a 4-0 win, hurling a 2-hitter, with 15 strikeouts, and no walks. Base running and bunting was a big key, with Sophmore Dan Cooley adding a big RBI hit providing the Dragons with the insurance runs to put the game out of reach.
In game three Division beat Great Neck North 9-4 with Dan Weingart getting the win. Ryan "Boomer" O'Shea added some clutch relief pitching in the seventh to ice the game.
Division scored early, with some base-stealing, and bunting. Jeff Tamarez had 2 hits, with Tom Messina, Keith Feldman, Bruian Chenicek, Scott Porter, Brian Frers, and Dan Cooley all providing RBI hits.
Chris Acastellano caught a great game, and supplied great bunting to move runners into scoring position. Brian Frers also played great defense at third base.
