This year, four girls from Division Avenue, qualified for individual awards handed out by the Nassau County Girls' Basketball Coaches Association.

Danielle Bacon was selected to the All-Division Team. Danielle led the Blue Dragons with 145 rebounds this season and set a team record with 38 blocked shots.

Ashley Rogala was named to the All-Conference Team. Ashley had 183 points for the year and led the team defensively with 79 total steals.

The Nassau County Coaches chose Christina Buckley for the all-Nassau County and all-New York State teams. Christina led the Lady Dragons this season with 258 points and set a team record with 73 assists.

Angela Alberti was this year's recipient of the Coaches Association Scholar Athlete Award. Angela led the Lady Dragons with a 93.5 percent grade point average over the past four years and was ranked 48th in her class.

Nicole Brunnhoelzl was the runner up for the Scholar Athlete Award with a 93.1 percent grade point average and a class rank of 52. Nicole was this year's overwhelming choice for the Division Avenue Girls' Basketball Red Letter Award. This award is given to the young lady who shows the greatest character and leadership on the team.

The Lady Dragons also won a New York State Public High School Scholar Athlete Team Award with a team grade point average of 91.5 percent. This was the eighth year in a row the girls' have qualified for this award. Participating in this award are: Angela Alberti, Danielle Bacon, Nicole Brunnhoetzl, Christina Buckley, Kaitlin Cooley, Jessica Matarrese, and Ashley Rogala.
