Town of Hempstead Opens New Skate Park
Earlier this year, Hempstead Town Supervisor Rich Guardino, joined by members of the town board, announced the grand opening of the town's first skate park, located in Baldwin Harbor at 3232 South Grand Avenue.

Levittown's O'Leary Family Scores in Snowflake Four-Mile Run
The O'Leary family of Levittown had a great day at the annual Snowflake 4-mile run in Long Beach. Thirteen-year-old Shane O'Leary ran an exceptional 25:40 race to take first place honors in the 13-19 age group. Shane's 11-year-old brother Chris scored third in the 12-and-under age group in 29:09. Proud dad Tom O'Leary had a strong run as well, crossing the finish line on the Long Beach Boardwalk in 28:12.

MacArthur Wrestling Wins Second Consecutive Nassau County Dual Meet Championship
MacArthur's varsity wrestling team won the Dual Meet Championships for the second straight year. The Generals defeated Massapequa HS by a score of 30-20. This is the first time in Nassau County history that a B school has won two Nassau County dual meet championships. MacArthur also emerged as the #1 dual meet time in New York State.
