I am writing to congratulate you on your letter(s) appearing recently in the Levittown Tribune, in which you take issue with the hostility and malice toward the Levittown School District and the Levittown community displayed in various letters published in the Tribune by a frequent contributor to Letters to the Editor. It is encouraging to the school board, teaching staff and all of our students that citizens such as yourselves are willing to speak out against individuals who attempt to undermine and even sabotage the hard work and progress that our students are making in school
Everyone in the Levittown School District - board - administration - staff - and students - are committed to continuous progress. This means simply that we never rest on our laurels; that as good as we get, we will always strive to be better. Your courage to speak out and your faith in the school district and its children go a long way in reinforcing all of our commitment to continuous progress. No malice and no manipulation of the facts by mean-spirited individuals will change the fact that Levittown students have posted a record of remarkable academic improvement and are achieving at or above the county average.
On behalf of all the students in the Levittown Public Schools, I thank you for your courage and support and reiterate our pledge of continued and never-ending commitment to continuous progress.
