MacArthur wrestling is off to another tremendous start. The Generals stand undefeated in dual meets and have been crowned champions in the past four tournaments. The Mid-Hudson, the Suffern, the Bethpage and the MacArthur Tournaments.

After winning the county championships last season and graduating nine senior starters, many thought the Generals would need to rebuild. This has not been the case. Coach Greenblatt feels that since Veteran Coach Stuart Kempinski has taken over the program seven years ago, the freshmen's technical and psychological abilities have grown tremendously. The freshmen are ready to compete at the highest level. Suffolk County wrestling champion Kurt Lassan has also joined the coaching ranks. Between Coach Lassan's knowledge of the sport and Coach Kempinski's motivational and disciplinarian skills, Salk wrestling has become one of Nassau's strongest programs. In conclusion, MacArthur's program has risen to the top due to Salk's coaches Kempinski and Lassan pursuit for excellence.
