I would like to thank all of the Levittown Fire District for voting on Tuesday, Dec. 11. The election for fire commissioner was extremely close, proving the importance of everyone's right and civic duty to vote.

To those of you who voted for me, I wish to express my sincere thanks. As I stated in my election literature, I have loved being associated with the Levittown Fire Department for the past 27 years. Being elected as one of your fire commissioners allows me the opportunity to further demonstrate this to our community.

I will also continue to provide fire safety and prevention to all of our residents, especially our children. I have always enjoyed teaching at the schools and providing tours at the firehouse. It is also rewarding to be recognized by a child around town and having them point to me and asking, "Aren't you the firefighter that came to my school?"

Thank you again for your support and if you have a group that desires a speaker or instructor for any type of fire education, please telephone 520-6191 and I will return your voice mail message.
