On behalf of my family I want to extend our sincere best wishes to all as we celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. Declared a national holiday in 1863 by President Abraham Lincoln during a very difficult time in our country's history, Thanksgiving takes on a special meaning as we reflect upon the events of the past two months and the need for all of us to heal as individuals, as families and as Americans. I urge all to keep in their prayers the families touched by the tragedy of Sept. 11 and the men and women of our armed services who at this very moment are protecting our freedoms across the globe.
