  • NEWS: Local Chambers Hold Networking Party

    The Levittown and East Meadow Chambers of Commerce, for the first time this year, collaboratively held a joint chamber networking party last Tuesday, Nov. 13 at LUXE in Levittown. In years past, the two neighboring chambers held individual parties. This was the third consecutive year the chambers have held a party. FULL STORY

  • NEWS: Seniors Enjoy Annual Thanksgiving Dinner

    Close to 250 senior citizens who reside within the Levittown Fire District enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner last Friday, Nov. 16 at the Levittown Memorial Education Center. This was the 16th year that the Levittown Fire Department, Engine Co. 3, together with members of the Levittown School District coordinated the event. FULL STORY

  • SPORTS: Levittown Blue Rage - U10 Boys

    The Levittown Blue Rage the Under 10 year old "A" division of the Levittown Soccer Club finished their first half of the season this weekend with a 4-1 win over Oceanside. This win clinched second place for these boys. They finished the first half of the season 8-1 with only one loss to Garden City who finished in First place. This is the first time these boys have played together as a team and they have proven themselves. Everyone on the team gives 100 percent and has lots of fun at the same time. Frank Giurco coaches the team with Dean Halverson's assistance. During the winter they will still work together in some indoor tournaments and conditioning so they will be ready for the division they will be placed in this spring. Good job boys. FULL STORY

  • SPORTS: Levittown Red Devils Finish Season with Gold,Silver,Bronze Medals and a Bid to Nationals

    The 2001 Red Devil cheerleaders were very successful in this year's competitions. The results of the first round of competitions started with the Copiague competition where the youngest of their teams, being eight years old, took third place, and the 12-year-old team took first-place cheer and second-place dance. The next competition at Plainedge had the 12-year-old team placing third in cheer and first place in dance. The 11-year-old competition team took second place in dance and first place in cheer at the Seaford competition and the 13-year-old seniors took third place in cheer and third place in dance.
