Hempstead Town Clerk Candidates
Kate Murray, the New York State Assemblywoman for the 19th District since 1998, is running for the town clerk position in the Town of Hempstead. Murray is running on the Republican party line and faces Democratic candidate Scottie Coads.

LITE Bowl-A-Thon
The Levittown/Island Trees Emergency Relief Fund (LITE) is hosting a Bowl-A-Thon to help the residents of Levittown and Island Trees who were affected by the events of Sept. 11. The event will take place on Sunday, Nov. 11 at South Levittown Lanes. Festivities begin at 8 p.m., check in is at 7:30 p.m. South Levittown Lanes is located at Tanners Lane in Levittown. There is a $30 per person minimum donation required to bowl. Group rates are available, $150 for six bowlers.

Levittown North Baseball Association 2002 Registration Dates
Registration for the Levittown North Baseball Association's 2002 season is underway at 3816 Hunt Road in Wantagh, 500 feet west of Seaman's Neck Rd. (pull into bus depot parking lot). The next registration date is Saturday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. to noon. Those interested are urged to register early and not let these dates slip by and be placed on a waiting list.
