Ages 7 and up - Coed: Lessons on modern indoor tennis courts. Professional tennis instruction. Bring racquet and sneakers (balls will be provided). Classes at Sportime, 101 Norcross Avenue, Bethpage (933-8500). Ten Registrants; One instructor per class. These are considered beginner classes although everyone is welcome to join. Classes on Sundays starting Sept. 30 and ending Nov. 18. Children will be divided into two age groups. One will consist of children ages 7, 8 and 9 and the other ages 10 and older. Classes will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Additional classes may be added from 7 to 8 p.m. if demand requires. There are no make-ups unless we cancel a class (eight weeks). Registration $50. Ages 7 to 18 - Coed: Learn the art of self defense and discipline while having fun. Classes for new students are held on Tuesday and Friday, 5 to 5:45 p.m. at Memorial Education Center, starting Oct. 1. Registration: One $30 seasonal fee (October through June), not pro-rated plus $65 every three months. Ages 5 to 18 - Coed: Students will learn all aspects of competitive baton twirling. Instruction is provided by registered instructors who are also a lot of fun. We are the current ESTA Grand Champions and we do participate in various shows throughout the year. We also march in the Memorial Day Parade. Classes for new students will be held on Tuesdays, 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. or 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. at Gardiners Avenue School starting Oct. 9. One baton and T-shirt included. Registration: One $30 seasonal fee (October through June) not pro-rated plus $60 every three months. Grades 7 through 11 divided into groups. (Freshman grades 7 and 8; JV grades 9 through 11; Varsity grades 9 through 11 based upon skill.) Program is designed to provide an environment which fosters teamwork, sportsmanship and respect. There are two sessions, September through March (20 games) $550 and March through June (10 games) $150. In addition, next summer a clinic is available for $150. Flexible payment plans are available. Players must provide all their own equipment (skates, jerseys, pads, helmet, etc.). No equipment is supplied as part of the registration fee. Games are played at various locations (ex: Newbridge Road, Iceland, Long Beach). Game times are currently being negotiated for the 2001/02 season. There are scheduled practice times provided. Practice time is secured when it's economically available, and a collection is made to satisfy the cost. This happens very infrequently, if at all. Ages 8 and up - Coed: Professional golf instruction. Six registrants per class. Equipment available if needed. Lessons at the Lido Beach Golf Course (entrance on Lido Boulevard, Lido, 2.2 miles from the Loop Parkway). We meet at the Driving Range. Classes on Saturdays (start Sept. 22) or Sundays (start Sept. 23). Times available both days, 11 a.m. to noon and noon to 1 p.m. First come - first serve basis. Additional earlier time may be added if demand requires. Shirt included (four weeks). Registration: $65. Ages 4 and up - Coed: (Separate Teen Nite available). Lots of fun. Bowl with a friend! $7.50 per week includes three games, free shoes, shirts, parties and trophies. Bumpers and Bantam fee $5.50 (two games). Also includes VIB (very important bowler) card which entitles league bowler to discounts off the open bowling rate during select times. League starts on Fridays (Sept. 21), 4 p.m. or Saturdays (Sept. 22), 10 a.m. Teens Bowl Wednesdays (Sept. 26), 5 p.m. To register call South Levittown Lanes, 5 Village Green at 731-5700. Seasonal registration fee for first child is $25 and above weekly fees; additional child registration fees are $20 and above weekly fees.

You must register for all programs except bowling at the Levittown Unit PAL Office, 64 Division Avenue, Suite 101, Levittown - Thursday, Sept. 20 or Friday, Sept. 21 or Monday, Sept. 24, 6:30 to 8 p.m. or Saturday, Sept. 22, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
