The Wantagh Jewish Center is a conservative congregation meeting the special needs of a diversified and involved community.

The Sabbath morning service begins at 9:15 a.m. and combines worship and study in both Hebrew and English. The Kiddush (refreshments) that follows the service extends the opportunity to strengthen personal ties. Friday evening services are conducted at 8 p.m. three times a month and once a month a family service is held at 7:30 p.m. This service is directed towards families with young children. Daily morning and evening services provide the opportunity to fulfill traditional religious obligations, including the recitation of Kaddish. High Holy Day and Jewish festivals are celebrated in the Synogogue throughout the year.

The center's religious school, a recognized school of excellence by the conservative movement, provides a full Jewish education to children from preschool to Bar/Bat Mitzvah and beyond. At all grade levels, the educational objective is to present a balanced program of Hebrew language, history, Bible, prayer and Jewish values. On Sabbath mornings, unique and creative services take place for 3- to 7-year olds as well as 8-to 13-year olds, both under professional supervision.

The center's Richard Spronz Youth Program promotes a strong Jewish identity for youngster community members through social gatherings and field trips.

The Wantagh Jewish Center is committed to the traditional Jewish value of lifelong education. They offer, throughout the year adult programs in Hebrew, Jewish history, practices and values, as well as contemporary issues. Twice a year the center participates in a community program with neighboring synagogues.

Their sisterhood integrates the women of the congregation into a unified group, dedicated to fostering the spirit of Judaism. Activities include participation in community affairs, holiday workshops and adult education, as well as many interesting social affairs. The Men's Club and Couple's Club feature diversified programs which are educational and entertaining, including sports events, holiday programs, religious skills workshops and much more. The senior citizens fellowship group brings together senior citizens to spend leisure time in meaningful and enjoyable programs.

The synagogue is involved with furthering their Jewish commitment to the local, national and international community. They are part of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, the Wantagh Interfaith Clergy Council, Israel Bonds, B'nai B'rith, the United Jewish Appeal and the Hatzilu Rescue Organization.
