During the week of June 30, the Island Trees School District offered a softball sport camp. Under the direction of Varsity Softball Coaches Ed Price and Laurie Logan, girls in grades four through eight were offered 15 hours of instruction in all the fundamentals of softball. The girls worked on throwing, catching, stealing, bunting, pitching and fielding. Assisting Price and Logan were Jackie Habermehl and Chrissy DeMott who were catcher and pitcher for the IT Softball Team that recently captured the Nassau County championship. FULL STORY
