I wanted to take the opportunity with this, my first issue with the Levittown Tribune, to introduce myself to the community and its residents.
Luckily for me, having been a close friend of my predecessor Susie Trenkle for quite some time, I've had the opportunity to see, through her experiences, what a wonderful community I'm preparing to become a part of. I also had the pleasure, at the start of my career at Anton Newspapers, of working as a reporter for the Tribune, helping me familiarize myself with the paper and its coverage area.
I've seen the incredible respect and friendships Susie has acquired with several members of the community and am hopeful that my experiences in Levittown and its surrounding neighborhoods will be just as rewarding.
I've been told several times that I have "very big shoes to fill," and I want the community to know that I am confidently stepping up to that challenge. Susie has certainly left her mark on the community and I am grateful to be given the same chance.
In addition to taking over the position as editor of the Tribune, I am also the editor of the Farmingdale Observer, another Anton Newspaper, a position I have held for almost one year.
I look forward to meeting with members of the community at upcoming meetings and events and I thank those whom I've already met for their warm welcomings and support.
