Councilman Hudes Celebrates Campaign Kickoff
Town of Hempstead Councilman Gary Hudes recently celebrated his campaign kickoff to promote his intention of continuing to represent nearby communities and their residents for a second term. The kickoff, a Friends of Gary Hudes fund raiser held at Imperial Manor in Bethpage on June 27, saw colleagues, friends and families gather with Hudes to show their support.

Levittown Resident Scores in Wheelchair Championship Race
Levittown resident Lauren Konetsky was part of an outstanding field of wheelchair athletes from all over the world who congregated on Long Island Sunday morning, June 24, for the 10th annual edition of the Salomon Smith Barney Nick Katsounis Memorial Wheelchair Championship 10 kilometer Race. Konetsky, 12 years old, competed in the Junior Women's Division and crossed the finish line in 46 minutes, 5 seconds. This won her second place among the junior women.
