Levittown resident Lauren Konetsky was part of an outstanding field of wheelchair athletes from all over the world who congregated on Long Island Sunday morning, June 24, for the 10th annual edition of the Salomon Smith Barney Nick Katsounis Memorial Wheelchair Championship 10 kilometer Race. Konetsky, 12 years old, competed in the Junior Women's Division and crossed the finish line in 46 minutes, 5 seconds. This won her second place among the junior women. FULL STORY
