The 7th grade baseball team just finished a successful season. The Wildcats won six games but none were bigger than the wins over Howitt and Salk. The Wildcats faced Howitt who was one win away from completing an undefeated season. The Wildcats would have none of that as they defeated Howitt 6-3 to spoil their bid at an undefeated season.

Chris Licul dominated on the mound for the Wildcats to earn the victory. The Wildcats stole a season high 10 bases to steal the victory. Nick Buccello had two stolen bases and scored on an errant throw while stealing third. Chris Bauer stole home to give the Wildcats a lead they never surrendered. Matt Radzewsky, Nick Buccello and Shane O'Leary led the bats for the Wildcats. Paul Ramirez, Anthony Quatrano, Sean Coyle, Kyle McDermott and Chris Devlin provided outstanding defense. The Wildcats took on cross-town rival Salk at McLaren Field in the game of the year. The Wildcats put the squeeze on Salk as they squeezed home six runs to defeat Salk 11-5. Ryan Harold, Matt Radzewsky and Anthony Chuisano executed perfect double squeeze plays to spark the Wildcats. Once again it was Chris Licul on the mound pitching five innings of perfect relief to earn the win. Sean Connochie, Rich Skarren, Rich Lepis and Nick Buccello led the hit parade. Pat Carroll, Ryan Harold, Mike Maini and Nick Dispirito played stellar defense. This group of Wildcats has all the talent to be a group you hear about when they reach Division in two years. It is now up to them to work hard and reach their potential as a team.

The 2001 Wildcats are as follows: Pat Carroll, Matt Radzewsky, Chris Licul, Sean Connochie, Rich Skarren, Nick Buccello, Shane O'Leary, Anthony Chuisano, Ryan Harold, Sean Coyle, Chris Bauer, Kyle McDermott, Rich Lepis, Mike Maini, Nick Dispirito, Paul Ramirez, Anthony Quatrano and Chris Devlin. The Wisdom Lane 7th grade softball team finished their season with a record of 6-2. The offense was led by Tara McBride, Kim Dong and Christine Vermilye; defense was led by Kara Darcey, Kaitlin Condon and Janine Landini. Janine Landini and Kin Dong were the two pitchers who led their team to victory for their six wins. Overall outstanding play was performed by second baseman/shortstop Tara McBride, shortstop Christine Vermilye, pitcher/third baseman Kim Dong, first baseman Kaitlin Condon, short center/third baseman Jaclyn Masone and last but certainly not least our catcher Kara Darcey. Throughout the season, both individually and as a team, the Wisdom Wildcats improved their game at bat and in the field. Leading the way in the outfield was Angie Goldstein, Maria Liguori, Denise Uschakow and Jessica Constantine. Great team spirit and sportsmanship was displayed by everyone, especially Monique Fierro, Kristina Boisvert, Nicole Kelly, Heather Hili, Stephanie Shatel and Stephanie Ditrich; the three captains: Janine Landini, Christine Vermilye and Kaitlin Condon possessed the leadership skills needed for the 2001 softball season. The season would not have been complete without the team's manager and scorekeeper Danielle Johnson. Congratulations to a winning season of 6-3-1 for the Wisdom's 7th and 8th grade boys lacrosse team. In goal the team had the stopping power of Michael DellArea and Abel Castanos. Most of Wisdom's goals came from the attackmen which were Tim Leonardo, Brian Genua, Sean Hall, Tom Dessano, John Scalia, Rory Lacey, Alex Kapotos and Frank Draghi. The Wisdom Lane girls lacrosse team had another very successful season. Although they fell short of their goal of back to back undefeated season they still are to be congratulated on record of 8 - 1. Chrissy Fama, Erica Harris, Courtney Phillips, Caitlin Heraghty and Martina Liguori helped to assist on many of Wisdom's goals. Jennifer Brady, Rachel Smucker, Megan Schmider, Jessica Sutch and Ashley Zinnel provided Wisdom with a very aggressive and balanced attack.

The defense, consisting of many newcomers played tenaciously throughout the season. Nicole Foy, Samantha Goetz, Amanda Murray, Maria Notaristefano, Meghan O'Neill and Robyn Terrillion intercepted passes and cleared the ball up to the offense to set up the attack. Christina Gilbert had another outstanding year in goal allowing only an average of four goals per game.

The experience of PAL, hard work and dedication has raised the level of lacrosse at Wisdom Lane. In addition the future success of Levittown lacrosse looks promising.
