The Lady Bulldogs of Island Trees were determined to finish the season on a winning note. The varsity baseball team made history by winning the Nassau County Baseball championship for the first time in school history. The Bulldogs defeated the Wantagh Warriors by a score of 2-1 in a deciding game 3. The Bulldogs won game one 9-3 in convincing fashion. Mike Cavalcante picked up the win, with excellent relief from John Zarrelli. Greg Thomson went 2 for 4 with a home run that traveled about 415 feet. FULL STORY
