St. Bernard's girls 3rd grade novice division had a successful season this year. For most of the girls this was their first experience with basketball. The regular season was approximately 10 games. The coaches and the girls focused on individual skills, concepts of defense and some basic plays. By the time the playoffs started the game was in full force. Hofstra, coached by Tom Page, played Princeton, coached by Tom Grange, in the final game. Hofstra ended on top with excellent team play. Hofstra was lead by tournament MVP Christine Page with 11 points and Samantha Uvino with 8 points. Princeton was lead by Meghan Leap, Kelly Leap and Alexandra Grange with 6 points apiece.
