I'm thrilled to know that someone has taken the initiative to coordinate a program such as "Dollars for Scholars" for our worthy students, so thank you Diane Shapiro. As I've never seen the program outlined in detail (and I've been looking for many, many months), I have a few questions I'd like answered before I hand over a check:

a) What are the criteria to be a beneficiary and can we get a copy of the criteria?

b) Who judges the winners?

c) How many winners will there be?

d) What are the dollar amounts to be awarded (I do understand it is based on the final amount obtained through donations, but just a general idea would be nice)?

e) Will the winning names be posted somewhere such as in the Tribune?

f) Will there be a ceremony acknowledging the winners?

We have many, many deserving students and I hope that the program receives a great response but it does need some more information put out there before people part with their money.
