Levittown United Teachers' Contract Set to Expire
Though it seems as if the Levittown School District and Levittown United Teachers just settled a lengthy contract dispute, that time has arrived again and concerns that the district wasn't doing everything in its power to make those negotiations run smoothly were expressed by the LUT President during the Public Be Heard portion of the board of education's regular April meeting.

Town to Hold Hearing Regarding Golden Age Zoning
The Town of Hempstead has scheduled a public hearing for April 24 to consider the rezoning of a Levittown property from a "Business District" to "Golden Age Residence District."

Division Baseball News
This past week the Division Avenue High School Baseball team won all three of its baseball games. On Monday, the Blue Dragons faced West Hempstead and its ace pitcher Dennis Conroy who threw a no-hitter in the opening round of last year's county baseball tournament. Division won the game 6-1 behind the four hit, 13 strikeout performance of PJ Antoniato.

Levittown Runners Score at 4th Annual Kings Park 15K Run
Over 700 runners successfully completed the 4th annual Kings Park 15 Kilometer Run on Sunday morning, March 25 including Levittown runners Carlos Castro, Jr. and Shane O'Leary, both of whom scored well up on the list of finishers.
