Once again, I'm proud to be a resident of Levittown and have the honor of representing friends and neighbors at the Town of Hempstead.
Last week the Town of Hempstead celebrated its Women's Pathfinder Awards. These awards recognize the accomplishments of some of the outstanding women in the Town of Hempstead who have made notable contributions to society. Levittown was well represented by some fine examples of women who have given their time to make our community a better place to live.
Dr. Jacklyn Nogan was honored for her contributions to the community as a member of the business world. Gina Interdonato was recognized for her years of commitment to the improvement in our Levittown School District. Laura Sullivan, a student at MacArthur High School, has notable achievements as a student and contributor to community causes.
As the event continued and their accomplishments read allowed, I thought about how many other women in Levittown help to make this community great. As I attend PTA events, youth sports, religious and fraternal functions, I see every day how much the women of this community care about Levittown. Therefore, I see these three winners as representatives of so many others who do so much for so many because they care.
I congratulate Dr. Nogan, Mrs. Interdonato and Ms. Sullivan and all of the women in Levittown that they represent.
