After a sluggish start, the 8th grade Lady Bulldogs delivered on their promise to play hard and powered their way to a 32-24 victory over Mattlin Middle School in a road contest. Mattlin could not deal with the physical presence of Grace Vinberg as they repeatedly fouled her sending Grace to the line 13 times, resulting in 7 points. Gina Brewer and Colleen Fenton broke the Mattlin press easily and scored 7 and 5 points respectively. Kate Beale scored 4, as did Megan Carlson. With two each were Hillary Sciacca and Nathaly Estrada. Jessica Ostrowski added a foul shot to finish the scoring. The Bulldog pressure defense led by Joanna Shek, Nicole Carrazana, Korin Jordan, Lori Brennan, Gina Dziuba, Lauren O'Shea and Amanda Caccappolo, led to many Mattlin turnovers. The girls went to the foul line 32 times hitting 14 for just under 50 percent. This is the fifth victory for a very hard-working team.

The 7th grade Girls' Basketball team played a fantastic game against Hicksville. Neck and neck with their opponent for the duration of the game, the Bulldogs were able to pull ahead and gain the win in the fifth quarter. Sarah Hess played her best and most aggressive game of the season. Hess was ferocious under the boards and went 3 for 5 from the foul line. Hess totaled seven points for the Lady Dogs. Samantha Modik and Jen Macaro both did a nice job running the point. The girls both scored 7, pushed the ball up the court well and helped break the press for the team. Melissa Donnelly also had her best game of the season with outstanding hustle and terrific shots. Donnelly scored four points for the team. Liz Badolato continued her scoring streak, adding four points onto the score. The entire team contributed to the win. All girls hustled, rebounded and most importantly, supported each other in the game. Michelle Topel, Kimberly Linneman, Colleen Cunningham and Allison Amador each added a basket.

The Island Trees Wrestling team won their third straight match, with back to back wins over Seaford and Bethpage. The team avenged an earlier loss to Seaford. Leading the team with two wins were Tom Cipley and Evan Mastro. Also defeating their opponents were Mike Wrightington, Bryan Henriques, Bernard Loiseau, Kris Kellam and Patrick Cassidy.
