Senior Mike Delorenzo wrestles his opponent

The MacArthur Generals have been crowned Nassau County's best dual-meet team.

The Generals dominated Long Beach High School in the County Semi-Final Round by a score of 40-18. In the finals, the Generals beat last year's defending champions, East Meadow High School, by a score of 33 to 12. This is MacArthur's first Nassau County Dual Meet Championship.

Congratulations to seniors Mike Delorenzo, Reno Reitmayr, Brian Pulsinelli, Jason Contino, Sean O'Donnell, Mike Carbone, Ed Pana, Anthony Petretti, Nick Larramo, Andrew Lentini, and Garrett Wykoff. The seniors' leadership and work ethic has brought the Generals to the highest level. This county championship is the first won by a B size school in 20 years. The Generals are currently ranked #1 on Long Island, a great achievement for Levittown Wrestling.

Coach Greenblatt stated that this is a victory to be shared by the whole district. The MacArthur administration and the board of education's commitment to education and athletics has given the school's athletic program's the tools needed to build top New York State athletic programs. Greenblatt feels that all MacArthur sports will follow and achieve similar success.
