Carlo Castro Jr. of Levittown closed out the 23 race KeySpan/Long Island Track & Field Grand Prix of Long Island road races by finishing in first place overall in the Wantagh Snowball Run on Saturday, Sept. 9. Castro, who is a member of the Greater Long Island Running Club and runs competitively for the Runner's Edge Racing Team, completed the 5-mile course in 26 minutes, seven seconds, giving him a 17-second margin over runner-up Don Di Donato of Hicksville.

Castro has been a steady winner throughout the Grand Prix Series and closed out the year as the individual men's winner of the Grand Prix. "My thanks to KeySpan Energy and Long Island Track & Field for putting on another great series of races this year," said the 32-year-old Levittown speedster.
