Levittown Board of Ed Considers Options as District Faces Enrollment Surge
Facing an enrollment bulge that is moving up from the elementary schools to the middle and high schools, the Levittown School District administration has asked the board of education to consider two possible options in order to handle the large jump in the number of students that will be attending those schools which is projected. The two options that Superintendent of Schools Dr. Herman Sirois offered to the board to consider are a sixth grade center or additional classrooms added to the buildings in need of space.

Strengths and Weaknesses Shown in Levittown State Test Results
At the most recent meeting of the Levittown Board of Education Assistant Superintendent for Instruction Robert Davis presented the results of the 4th grade math, the 8th grade math, and the 8th grade English Language Arts exams for last year. According to Davis these test results showed some areas of strength within the district and some areas of weakness which he suggested the district look at and try to improve in the coming years.

On Saturday, Nov. 11, Pee Wee Gray played their final regular season game before they head into the playoffs. With first place and home field advantage throughout the playoffs on the line, Gray came to this game very pumped up. As Gray lined up for the first offensive possession of the game, it was evident that size wise and physically Brentwood was the much larger team. The first half was basically played in the middle of the field with neither team able to get much offense going. Gray's offense consisted of linemen George Athan, Chris Nickel, Mike Rakitzis, Nicky Bristol, Bryan Peterson, Zack Trimboli and center Dakota Bransfield. The backfield consisted of quarterback Daniel Bartlett and running backs Bryan Verbitsky, Anthony Ciaramitaro and Joey Leonard. Even facing this size disadvantage, Gray was very stunned that they were unable to get their usually high powered scoring machine into gear. As the first half drew to a close, you could certainly say that it was an evenly matched game as the 0-0 score indicated.
