Almost every picture of Gary Hudes that is in the Levittown Tribune identifies clearly that he is the president of the Nassau Council of the Chambers of Commerce. So we know who he is, and what organization he is associated with.

So, while reading the article about Hudes being chosen as the Nassau Council of the Chambers of Commerce small businessman of the year I expected this article to clearly state that Gary is also the organization's president. But, this information was buried at the end of the article, almost like the writer was trying to hide the fact that Gary Hudes the president chose Gary Hudes the honoree.

Does anyone even know what this council does? Does it have an office? Does it have any membership? It was brought up at a League of Women Voters debate that Gary Hudes is using the phone number for the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce on his campaign literature. His excuse was that the phone number goes to his house, and he didn't want to list his own unlisted phone number on his campaign literature. Sounds pretty weak to me. So, I guess this organization's only mission is for Gary Hudes to use it for cover when he gets his picture in the paper. It is just a sham organization with no office, no employees and no mission. It's just used as political resume fodder, and to promote Gary Hudes' political career.

If this is not a sham organization, then I would imagine that its members would be furious to know that Gary Hudes is using the resources of this organization for his political campaign.
