This morning (Saturday, Oct. 21), I saw more than 50 Bush/Cheney lawn signs, and Lazio lawn signs on the median of Jerusalem Avenue in Levittown. The Republican committee people who put these signs there know better. Grassy medians of any roadway are public property and are not to be used for political purposes. This is just another example of typical Nassau County Republican arrogance. The belief by the Nassau County Republican machine that rules are meant for other people, not the Republican machine.
I did my good deed for the day, and removed the signs. They did not belong on the public roadway, and I didn't want to have the police waste their time removing them. One more eyesore cleaned up in Levittown.
