Thank you so much for your wonderful coverage of the Island Trees PTA Council Breast Cancer Awareness Evening. We believe that your coverage will provide valuable information to all the women who live in our community. Your attendance at our event indicates your strong support of important community issues.

Our PTA Council would like to thank Jean Ruttera, the spokesperson from the Adelphi Breast Cancer Hotline. Her courage, warmth, and message of hope will encourage women and their families to call the hotline for information, guidance and assistance in making important health decisions.

We would also like to thank Senator Kemp Hannon, Assemblyman Marc Herbst, and Legislator Dennis Dunne for their attendance at this event. Their words of encouragement, and support were appreciated. Each of these gentlemen spoke sincerely and compassionately about an issue that has touched all of our lives. We would like to thank each of them for their continued support for the funding necessary for early detection, continued research, and free mammograms in our community.
