Scott A. Schachter, 74, of Levittown, died on Aug. 31, 2000. He was a retired audio engineer with NBC and a two time Emmy Award winner. Husband of Justine. William J. Deegan, of Levittown, died on Sept. 1, 2000. He was a veteran of WWII and received the Purple Heart for his injuries during the Battle of the Bulge. He was retired from Grumman.
