A benefit will be held this Sunday, Aug. 27, at VFW Post 9592, to help raise money to send 6-year-old Kevin Healy Jr., who has cerebral palsy, to Poland for specialized therapy.

This specialized therapy may enable the Levittown boy, who can currently only walk under close supervision with the aid of a walker, to walk on his own. The treatment, which is only given in Poland, has given other children with cerebral palsy that ability. There have also been several other benefits achieved from the 28-day program.

All the funds raised at the benefit, through raffle sales and donations, will go to sending Kevin and one of his parents to Poland so he might have this opportunity to improve his life.

The benefit will be held at the VFW Hall, 55 Hickory Lane, Levittown. Donations for Kevin's therapy can also be mailed to: SB's Tavern, c/o Kevin Healy Jr. Fund, 406 Jerusalem Ave., Hicksville, NY 11801.
