On June 17, the Island Trees Baseball League celebrated the fifth anniversary of Al Lepis Day, honoring the founder of the league. It was the usual fun filled day involving 32 teams of the Island Trees Baseball League. Al Lepis would have been very proud of the participation of so many young people having a great day. Continuation of this festival has been made possible by the untiring work of Nick Squigna, the current president of the league. Squigna has devoted many hours and energy from his busy schedule to continue what the founder, Mr. Lepis, had started. Squigna hopes with great anticipation to continue celebrating this festival of the founder of this league.
