Levittown Schools Introduce New Student Help Program
At their monthly board meeting on Thursday, July 5, the Levittown Board of Education discussed a new program which would ultimately benefit the education of all students, from those in kindergarten to 12th graders looking to graduate. The program, "Academic Intervention Services," is designed to aid students who are in need of academic help in one or more curricular subjects.

Publisher Karl. V. Anton, Jr. Dies at 81
Karl V. Anton, Jr., publisher and editor-in-chief of Anton Community Newspapers, died Saturday morning at his home in North Merrick with his wife Angela Susan Anton by his side. His death followed a short illness of cancer. He was 81 years old.

2000 N.C. PAL Youth Lacrosse- Levittown Unit
The Nassau County PAL Youth Lacrosse season finished at the Annual Lacrosse Jamboree, sponsored by the Long Island-Metropolitan Lacrosse Foundation. It was held at SUNY Farmingdale on Saturday June 17, featuring Nassau County PAL Boys and Girls Youth- Suffolk County Boys and Girls Youth- Nassau, Suffolk, Catholic, and Private High School Exceptional Senior Teams- Long Island Boys Empire State team and Under 13,15, and 17 Boys and Girls Select teams.
