John P. Del Monaco of Bethpage has been awarded The Howard Shriver Scholar Athletic Award, presented to the senior who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in both academics and athletics while at Johns Hopkins University.

Del Monaco is the son of Barbara and Al Del Monaco and attended Island Trees High School in Levittown.

Del Monaco, who majored in international studies, graduated on May 25.
