The Wisdom Lane Girls Lacrosse team recorded its first ever undefeated season this year by compiling a record of 9-0. Seventh grader Lauren Cummings led the team with 23 goals. Captains Jenna Goldman and Samantha Sanchez scored 19 and 17 goals respectively. Great passers such as Kristen Caserta, Jessica Hudes, Mallory Inglese, Amanda Ferretti and Charlene Stenzler combined for numerous assists.

The defense, led by captain Jessica Rosemann, made it difficult for other teams to score. The aggressive play of Tracy Neal, Chrissy Fama, Allison Walker, and Katie Condit, limited the opponents' opportunities to score. Finally in the goal, Christina Gilbert and Jessica Chiarelli were tenacious. They made an average of 10 saves per game.

It was a winning season with 7 wins and a 2 losses for Wisdom's 7th and 8th grade Boys' Lacrosse Team. In goal the team had the stopping power of Stephen Mazza and Frank Melhus. Most of Wisdom's goals came from the attackmen who were Billy Bruckbauer, Tim Ramo, Kevin Colby, Tim Leonardo, Brian Genua, Sean Hall and Pat Macaullay. The blazing speed of the midfield, which kept the game "the fastest game on two feet," was led by Tom Davis, William Fama, Jeff Knight, Joe Siderman, Hugh Murray, Billy Berju, Chris Fuentas, and Dan Ferrentino. The Dominating defense included John Terrillion, Sean Gibert, Luis Fernandez, Greg Mitchel, Rich Anderson, and Bob Caserta. Adding to the team's success were Paul Gruber, John Cipriano, Jason Ferrante, Nick Turnabene, Rory Lacey, Tom Anderson, James Nally, Vincent Clesi, Brandon Teller, Chris Barbato, Sean Macaullay, Tom Meyer, Phillip Caccamo, Chris Carr and team manager Mike Delaera. The Wisdom 8th grade softball team finished its season with a record of 8-1. The team averaged 12 runs per game and gave up only 4 runs per game. The offense was lead by Jessica Mataresse, Marrissa Cardonna, Meg Murphy, Michelle D'Attoma, Amy Fortsch, Ryan Woodiwiss, Meg Gilroy and June Jurgens. The team played great defense behind the solid pitching of Lauren Bengyak, who averaged 10 strikeouts per game while walking only 2. She also allowed her opponents only 3 hits per game. The strong defense was led by catcher Lauren Lepis who threw out 6 would-be base stealers. Other great defensive performances were turned in by Kaitlin Cooley, Erin Cunningham, Liz Joyce, Sharon Possilico, Christine Schacht, Melanie Andrade. The team would like to thank Manager Rose Castanon for all her help during the season. The Wisdom Lane 8th grade baseball team won its last five contests to finish with a record of six wins and two losses. After defeating Howitt 7-0 in the season opener, the Wildcats lost two tough games by one run. With the help of great pitching by Kevin Gerard 3-0, 2.27 ERA and Dan Cooley 3-2, 2.70 ERA, the team began to play outstanding defense and get some timely hitting. Leading the attack was James Hickey .684, Bryan Chenicek, .429, Patrick Harloff .421 and Tom Brussel .333. Defensive standouts were Dan Devivo, James Williams, Chris Barber, Don Dlabola, Chris Carbone and Joe Seide. Highlights of the season were two victories over Salk, 7-5, 7-4, two victories over Wantagh 12-2, 6-3. Other members who helped the cause were Mike Viola, Marco Luciano, Chris Lombardo, Mike McCarthy, Steven Budd, and Brandon Huggins. The team would like to thank team manager Chris Devlin.
