On Monday, June 5, the Island Trees High School Athletic Banquet was held at the Imperial Manor. Kelly Huldie and Brett Rottkamp were the recipients of the Ted Petersen Scholarship. Cindy Sheil was the recipient of the Rita Benson Scholarship. Jessica Fredricks and Rich Cama were the recipients of the Parents for Athletes Scholarship. Jessica Fredricks and James Keating received the Armed Services Award. Dan Baudille, Dan Scorzelli and Chris Rupp were the recipients of the Island Trees Hockey Scholarship. Robert Nelson was the recipient of the Island Trees Baseball League Scholarship. Erick Alahverdian, Tim Law, John McCauley, Sean Murphy, Rich Staab, Kelly Huldie, Kristie Imberi, Christina O'Brien and Rosa Oliveri were the recipients of the Island Trees Soccer Club Scholarship. Varsity Basketball Coach Melissa Zamroz was chosen as the Doris Uhlig Coach of the Year by her peers. Jamie Pietrantoni and Anthony Pena were voted Outstanding Athletes of the year by the Island Trees coaching staff.
