On behalf of my family I would like to thank you for your article "Final March for Joseph F. Kavanagh." My Dad loved the people of Levittown. When outside people think of Levittown their first association is the houses that Abe Levitt built, my Father knew it was the veterans and their families who lived in those houses that made this town. No finer tribute to those veterans and families of Levittown is the Memorial Day Parade which Dad was a coordinator for many years, in which he enjoyed and was proud to be a part.
My Dad monetarily was not a wealthy man. However, with the tremendous outpouring of love and support that we have received from our family, friends, Levittown American Legion Post, along with the numerous veterans groups, Levittown Fire Department, Marine Corps, Police Department and numerous community groups truly proves to us that Dad was the richest man in town.
