Division Wraps Up Season
The Division Blue Dragons finished up its season with two straight losses in the playoffs, losing to a tough Island Trees team 5-1, and to Garden City 7-3. This is the first time in 12 years (since 1988) that the Dragons did not win at least two playoff games. Ironically, it was 12 years before then that the Dragons did not win at least one playoff game.

The eighth-grade girls softball team played terrific ball at Packard. Mary Seremeta did a wonderful job on the mound, pitching the entire game. Excellent defensive plays included Shannon McAdam's tag out at the plate and a pick-off at third. Kristin Gilson, Seremeta, Lisa Provenzano and Keri Spiess made outstanding plays in the field. Jenna Steele did a marvelous job backing up first base and prevented the other team from gaining another base. Hitting for the Lady Bulldogs was Jessica Galella, Spiess, Seremeta, Romina Chacon and Kate Schamberger. McAddam, Laura Hyland and Gilson all had RBIs during the game. Nice effort ladies!
