I am not sure where to begin my response to last week's "Enough of Hudes" letter. I was extremely shocked to see a human being show so little respect for a man that has put his heart and soul into helping others make Levittown a better place to live. The "writer" said that they were "sick" of seeing Gary Hudes in the newspaper. I, along with others, are not "sick" of seeing Mr. Hudes. People close to Mr. Hudes, enjoy him very much. He is the most sincere, kind, dynamic, and charitable human being I know. I could go on for pages listing all of his community service and philanthropic ventures, if I desired to do so.
Does the "writer" know Mr. Hudes personally? Your words don't dictate that. However, I do know him exceptionally well. Mr. Hudes is my father, the person I admire most in the world. I cannot express my respect, love, and admiration for my father on paper. I wish there were more people in this world like him, because the world would be a much better place.
I encourage the "writer" to meet my father. Talk with him and experience his positive influence for yourself. After meeting with him, you will understand why you "can't get enough of Hudes."
