The varsity badminton team chalked up another win beating Clarke 4-3. The four varsity doubles teams each registered strong wins plus freshman doubles Angela Wong, Alison McVeigh, Jackie Lent and Nikki Lent beat their opponents as well. The Lady Bulldogs record is now 5 wins and 2 losses as they take on Clarke again over the holiday. Good luck Bulldogs. The Island Trees Girls Varsity Track team placed second overall in their meet at North Shore. The cold, wet weather didn't hold these girls back. Laura Cava placed third in the 400 meter hurdles, second in the shot put and fourth in the 3,000 meter race. Jodie Schoppmann placed first in the 3,000 meters and third in the mile. Elena O'Brien placed first in the 400 meter dash and second in the 200 meters. Jen D'Albenzio placed second in the 3,000 and fourth in the mile. Jessica Marciano placed third in the 3,000 meter race. Island Trees swept the 3,000 meter race, taking home the first, second, third and fourth places.

On Saturday, April 15, the Island Trees JV lacrosse team defeated Seaford 7-6 with .01 remaining in the game. Brian Bennetti opened up the scoring for the 'Dawgs on an assist from Paul Wigdzinski. Bennetti ended up with 2 goals, 1 assist and Paul Wigdzinski ended up with the same. Julio Barea added 3 goals and 2 assists as he dominated the opposing midfield. John Ambrogio scored the apparent winning goal with about :45 left in the fourth quarter, but Island Trees had too many men on the field. The Dawgs lost the next face-off, but Joe Swicicki made 1 of his 9 saves and helped the Bulldogs clear the ball to find Brian Bennetti wide open to score the game winner. The defense, including Pete Ruff, Zack Strauss, Kevin Mahoney and Pete Moran, played their best game as a whole so far this season.

On Tuesday, April 18, the Bulldogs won their second in a row defeating Jericho 10-2. Paul Wigdzinski (4 goals, 2 assists) and Julio Barea (2 goals, 3 assists) led the 'Dawgs to victory. Chris Wierzbicki and Ryan Love each scored their first goals of the season. Matt Fiorello and Rob Bischoff combined for 6 saves. The Bulldogs are now 4-4.
