The Island Trees Varsity Lacrosse team overcame a 4-1 halftime deficit to win 5-4 against Great Neck North. Ryan Linzie, in a leaf of faith, scored the winning goal with three minutes remaining.

The Island Trees Comeback Kids do it again! The Varsity Lacrosse team, down 2-1, staged a second half rally to pull ahead of Hewlett. Dan Baudille and Todd Anderson each scored to put the Bulldogs ahead 4-2. Rich Dama and the defense, led by Rich Catherall, held off a late Hewlett rally. The Bulldogs won 4-3.

The Island Trees JV Lacrosse team hosted their hometown rival Division on Saturday, March 25. Division jumped out to a 4-0 lead, but Jon Fradua was able to stick two of his three goals within the last minute of the half to put the Dawgs right back into the game. The third quarter was a stalemate as both teams scored one goal. The Bulldogs were finally able to tie the score with 5:04 left in the fourth quarter as Julio Barea (1 goal, 2 assists) won the face-off and came straight down the middle of the field to knot the game at 6-6. Division, however, was able to capitalize on an extra-man situation with 48 seconds left to take the lead for good. The Bulldogs tried frantically to tie the score, but just fell a bit short. Paul Wigdzinski (1 goal, 1 assist) and Brian Bennetti (1 goal, 1 assist) each contributed for Island Trees.

The JV Lacrosse team defeated Great Neck North 8-4. The Bulldogs jumped out to an early 3-1 lead in the first quarter as Jon Fradua (1 goal, 2 assists), Brian Bennetti ( 1 goal) and Paul Wigdzinski (3 goals) each helped put the Dawgs in front. Julio Barea (1 goal, 3 assists) led the second quarter charge, winning face-offs and ground balls. Zack Strauss added an assist from the defensive side of the field. Great Neck North put on a second-half run, but fell short as the Bulldogs held on. John Ambrosio and Matt Fiorello each added the first goals of the season.
