The 8th grade Lady Dawgs trailed Bethpage for four periods before erupting in the fifth period for a hard fought 27-26 victory. The charge was led by the ever improving Kaitlin Schamberger who scored a career high 16 points including six at crunch time. Her lightning quick steals set up the girls, as the Bulldog pressure was too much for the golden Eagles to handle. Trailing by one with 58 tics on the clock, Schamberger connected on a 15-foot foul line jumper to take the lead. On the ensuing inbound play, Lisa LoFaso stole the ball and was fouled. Stepping to the line with a chance to ice the game, LoFaso calmly sank both shots to seal the win. LoFaso finished with four, Alyssa Fleming had four and Stephanie Farag added two. Gina Lippert had one on a foul shot. Angela Barea, Jessica Galella, Danielle Baglivo and Lisa Provenzano displayed great defensive pressure. This was a total team effort that they should all be proud of.
The 7th grade Girls Basketball team played an impressive game against Mattlin. With outstanding defense and excellent offense the Lady Bulldogs reigned victorious. Adding rebounds and intimidating defense for the Bulldogs were Jackie Augner, Lori Brennan, Samantha Burger, Megan Carlson, Nicole Carrazana, Nathaly Estrada, Michelle McGurk and Jessica Ostrowski.

Packard came from behind with some surprising shots to get in reach of the Bulldogs lead. However, the Lady Bulldogs stood firm and held their ground to keep the win. Grace Vinberg played her most aggressive and impressive game of the year with 14 points, 10 rebounds, a block and three steals. Colleen Fenton scored her eight points with her deadly outside shot and drives to the hoop. Kate Beale played a terrific game adding six points, three steals and six rebounds. Gina Brewer did an excellent job at point driving to the hoop and giving dozens of assists. Brewer scored four points and had five rebounds. Nicole Carrazana did a nice job on the boards with eight rebounds allowing her to score her four points from down low. Lauren O'Shea stuck her shots from the outside with four points and four rebounds. Hillary Sciacca played an outstanding game. Sciacca had two points, 10 rebounds and the most aggressive defensive game of her season, anticipating the passes of the other team and knocking them down. Jackie Augner, Nathaly Estrada and Jamie Lent all got open to add two points each to the score. Lori Brennan, Samantha Burger, Megan Carlson, Gina Dziuba, Korin Jordan, Michelle McGurk, Heather McCarthy and Jessica Ostrowski all played an excellent game and set up their team for scoring position. The girls played magnificently. They kept their cool under extreme circumstances, played superb defense and most importantly played a perfect game of team basketball. The Lady Bulldogs should be especially proud of this victory. Special thanks to Maria, both Christians and Ryan.
