I can no longer stand by and read critical letters written by two Levittown residents who don't disclose their current background. I have read with interest, the last few "Letters to the Editor" written by Teresa Butler and most recently, last week's letter criticizing Nassau County Legislator Dennis Dunne, by Stephanie Bosco.

I actually laughed out loud when Butler said that someone "shows a hidden political agenda." Is this the same Democrat Teresa Butler who ran against Dennis Dunne in the most recent Nassau County Legislative election, and lost? Is this the same Teresa Butler who was just recently "rewarded" for her loss, with a Democratic patronage job at the Town of Hempstead paying approximately $46,000 a year to be an assistant to one of our new Democratic council people?

It's funny that Butler didn't mention her own "political agenda" when she criticized fellow Levittown residents, including Levittown's own lifelong resident Joe Mondello. As a longtime Levittown resident myself, I want to know where Teresa Butler was when Mondello was a councilman, supervisor and political leader of the Town of Hempstead and saw to it that Levittown received its fair share of town services and funding?

It's also very interesting that Butler's criticisms failed to mention that the Republican-led Town of Hempstead, has the highest bond rating in the State of New York, no tax increase in eight of the last nine years, a budget surplus of more than $50 million in 1999 and another surplus expected this year! The Republicans that Butler ridicules, have been doing a fabulous job in the Town of Hempstead!

Ms. Bosco, last week's author of a "Letter to the Editor" criticizing Republicans, also fails to tell you that she has also found a very nice job working for the "new" Democrats at Hempstead Town Hall with a handsome salary of approximately $40,000, as an assistant to a Democratic councilwoman. Bosco criticizes Nassau County Legislator Dunne for a lack of "courage" on an issue. Don't doubt the "courage" of Dunne, a lifelong Levittown resident, who served our country and community as a Marine Corps veteran, long before you were born!

Teresa and Stephanie, people in glass houses, should never ever cast stones!
