The Town of Hempstead is proud to operate a unique park facility where residents can go to relax, swim or exercise, and enjoy one of the finest facilities on the east coast. Provided by the Department of Parks and Recreation, Echo Park on Nassau and Roosevelt Boulevards in West Hempstead is now open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. The annual park maintenance and refurbishment has been completed, and the park is ready to accept visitors on a daily basis.

This year-round exercise facility is open to all town residents and their guests. The building features a diving pool and a half-Olympic indoor swimming pool. In the locker areas are men's and women's sauna and steam rooms, along with weight rooms featuring Universal equipment. For a nominal fee, there are regularly scheduled exercise and swimming and diving lessons. A snack bar, observation deck, and lockers for your valuables complement the complex. Daily, seasonal, and full-year memberships are available according to the following fee schedule:

In addition to the regular opening hours of the park, the facility opens at 7 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for a special lap-swimming period until 10 a.m.
