The 7th grade volleyball team won a tough match against Packard, three games to two. The highlight of the match came in the fourth game with Island Trees leading two games to one and needing one more game for the march. Gina Dziuba served for seven straight points to give the Lady Dawgs a 7-0 lead and they never looked back. Dziuba finished with 10 points in the game and 12 for the match. Kaitlyn Sopp also served for 12 points in the match and had a great all-around game. Kelly Murphy served for six straight points to win the first game and finished with eight for the match. Megan Carlson served for sevenin the match, Heather Rienti and Kaitlyn Beale served for four points each and Jamie Lent, Grace Vinberg and Melissa Medina served for three points each.
The 8th grade Volleyball team won their game against Salk. Lisa Provenzano served 24 points in three games and Danielle Baglivo, Alyssa Fleming and Kassandra Knight played excellent defense.
The 8th grade volleyball team lost to Grand Avenue despite a great effort. Jessica Kilfoil led the team in serving with 13 points. Angela Borea, Keri Spiess, Lindsay Burleson and Kassandra Knight played excellent defense.
The 7th grade Boys Basketball team defeated Bethpage by the score of 46-38. The Bulldogs trailed most of the game, but rallied back in the fifth quarter. The team was led by Vinny Ciaravino with 22 points, Christian Salvage with six points, Sean Walsh and Ryan Hollett with four points and Brian Beissel, T. J. Fabis and Brian Spiess with two points each. The Bulldogs have increased their record to 5-1.
The 8th grade Boys Basketball team took on undefeated Bethpage and gave the Golden Eagles all that they could handle for a half. Tom Leonick had a breakout game with 20, while Anthony Thompson pumped in seven. Others tickling the twine were Anthony DiDomenico, Kevin Fusci, Bryan Dirr, Anthony Rinaldi, Justin O'Donnell, Bruce Davidson and Michael Doscher.
