Island Trees Sports
The 7th grade volleyball team won a tough match against Packard, three games to two. The highlight of the match came in the fourth game with Island Trees leading two games to one and needing one more game for the march. Gina Dziuba served for seven straight points to give the Lady Dawgs a 7-0 lead and they never looked back. Dziuba finished with 10 points in the game and 12 for the match. Kaitlyn Sopp also served for 12 points in the match and had a great all-around game. Kelly Murphy served for six straight points to win the first game and finished with eight for the match. Megan Carlson served for sevenin the match, Heather Rienti and Kaitlyn Beale served for four points each and Jamie Lent, Grace Vinberg and Melissa Medina served for three points each.
