Several members of the Levittown community recently voiced concerns about the loss of two Town of Hempstead Council members, who are area residents. As one of your new town of Hempstead Council members, I am fully dedicated to serving citizens from all parts of the town. I am looking forward to meeting Levittown residents and working with community leaders from the area.
Over the past 20 years I have been a community activist and volunteer. As a member of the town board I will continue to fight for the needs of every town resident. This January, I will bring a new voice to the town board. I am fully dedicated to doing all that I can to improve life in this community and throughout the town. As a former PTA president and mother, I am deeply interested in issues surrounding children and education. Also, as a woman living on Long Island I am familiar with local concerns regarding the high incidence of cancer on Long Island. Finally, I am aware that the people of Levittown are very concerned about high property taxes. I look forward to hearing your views regarding the property tax assessment system and hope to work for any changes favored by my constituents.
I intend to be a full time council member and to make the town my top priority. In the coming weeks I look forward to meeting with residents from Levittown. Please invite me to speak at your meetings and gatherings. I want to learn more about Levittown from you and my aide who is a lifelong resident of Levittown.
Thank you for electing me to serve as your representative. Together, we can ensure that Levittown and the Town of Hempstead continue to be a place we are proud to raise our families.
