The following is my family of veterans:

First: My father, Patrick J. Walsh, World War II, fought in France with the U.S. Cavalry Rainbow Division. His unit was overrun by Germans, he escaped by getting between two horses and laying on the hitching tree and letting the horses find their way back to the American lines.

Second: I, Kenneth P. Walsh am a veteran of World War II. I served aboard the USS Antieam, CV 36. I am a plank owner. I was homeported in Alameda, California from 1944 to 1947. All sea duty was served in the South Pacific.

Third: My brother, James J. Walsh, a veteran of the Korean War, served with the 7th U.S. Cavalry, his unit position was overrun by Chinese and was declared Missing In Action.

Veteran's Day this year got me thinking I should have my family of veterans and the sacrifices we made to keep the United States free known.
