On behalf of the East Meadow Civic Association, which services a community of over 45,000 residents, within East Meadow School District encompassing Salisbury, I petition the State Department of Transportation to erect a left turn signal for north and southbound traffic on Newbridge Road (Route 106) in East Meadow.

Presently, the left turn signal exists for east and westbound traffic on North Jerusalem Road.

This left turn signal will provide additional safety for the students of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton regional elementary school and for the parishioners of St. Raphael's Church.

The area in question is an extremely dangerous condition for the students of Elizabeth Ann Seton regional school, parishioners of St. Raphael's Church as well as the community at large.

I would appreciate your favorable consideration on behalf of the community of East Meadow in providing the aforementioned additional traffic safety measures.

I would appreciate a reply to this letter.

Thank you for your interest in the East Meadow community.
