The Girls Varsity Soccer team had a great week, having won three games and lost only one, improving their record to five wins and three losses. After losing to Herricks 3-1, the Lady Bulldogs won three straight, defeating last year's Conference 2 winner Baldwin 1-0. On Friday, in a thrilling match, they defeated Clarke 1-0. On Saturday, the Lady Bulldogs were privileged to play under the lights against Plainedge and won 4-2. Despite being a close match, Coach Goldberg was able to get all 22 players to participate in the game. The defense (led by goalies Christine O'Brien and Kristina Ruff) of Michelle DiFede, Karyn Fitzpatrick, Jen D'Albenzio and Rosa Oliveri plus halfbacks Lisa Caffrey, Trish DelMonaco, Jessica Fredricks, Kristi Imberi and Kristina Ruff have kept the opposing offenses at bay. Kelly Huldie, Vanessa Militano, Melissa Santor and Cathy Sbarra have provided clutch scoring. The girls have played with tenacity, unwilling to give up, supporting each other to their fullest.

The JV Girls Soccer team lost its first game of the season 1-0 to Baldwin, a first division team, in a non-league game. The girls played a terrific game with only outstanding play by the Baldwin goalie keeping them off the board. At the two-minute mark of the second half, the team made its first mistake and it cost it a goal. Though the team outplayed Baldwin, they lost 1-0 as Baldwin only had two shots on goal in the game. It still was a tremendous effort. Later in the week the JV Soccer team got back on the winning track with a 1-0 decision over Clarke. Four minuts into the game, Alyssa Fleming beat her defender down the wing, made a beautiful cross and Melanie Hallas one-timed the ball into the net. Erin Dodge had her second shutout in goal. Keep up the good work.

The Boys Red Soccer team played a great game, but came up short against Howitt 4-1. Great plays were made by Mike Garger with the only goal, Tom O'Reilly, Bruce Davidson, Giuseppe Agostino, Jose Cruz and Matt Lucia in net. Good effort guys.

The Boys White Soccer team played awesome at their first away game against Salk. Russell Davis played goalie and did not let one goal pass him. His great saves gave the Bulldogs their first win of the season. The Bulldogs won 2-0. Dennis Rochon, Joe Reyes, Sean Lehosky, Sean Thomson, Brian Spiess and T.J. Fabis played great defense. Mike Topel and Robby Lovaglio scored goals. Great effort by Chris Salvage, Bobby Zetterberg, Brian Beissel, Joe Paciullo, Adam Chase, Sean Walsh and Brian Marksteiner.

The Girls Red Soccer team played a great game against Howitt. The score was 3-1 Howitt. Stephanie Farag scored the only goal with an assist from Kate Ludewig. Jaclyn Mullervy, Jessica Frizalone, Stephanie Farag and Gina Lippert played an excellent game at forward along with Angela Barea, Kate Ludewig and Lauren Curran at midfield. Romina Chacon, Kristin Gilson, Christina Tomasosky, Jaimie Wozniak, Jessica Wigdzinski, Shannon McAdam, Mary Seremeta and Heather Paolini made great defensive plays, with goalies Christina LoFaso, Lisa LoFaso and Lindsey Burleson. Great job.

The Girls White Soccer team beat Wisdom Lane 6-5. The girls got the lead one minute into the game on a goal by Gina Brewer and never gave up. Brewer led the offensive explosion with two goals and one assist. Also scoring goals were Emma Cruz, Jamie Lent, Kaitlyn Beale and Christa DeLeon. Lauren O'Shea, Michelle McGurk and Samantha Burger all assisted on goals. The incredible goaltending of Jessica Ostrowski, Lori Brennan, Stephanie Werling and Nicole Carrazana kept the Lady Dawgs in the match. Amanda Rossi, Annalisa Didomenico, Rachel Davids and Kelly Murphy provided great defense.
