During the week of August 2nd, the Island Trees School District offered three sports camps. Students in grades 4-8 had the opportunity to participate in baseball or girl's soccer. Students in grades 9-12 were given the opportunity to partake in baseball.

Over 100 youngsters participated in the 4-8 baseball camp. Mike Harrington, the Island Trees Boys Junior Varsity Baseball Coach stated,"The turnout is overwhelming. The future of Island Trees baseball looks great."

The girl's soccer camp also had a great turnout. The Island Trees Girls Varsity Soccer Coach, Phil Goldberg, was pleased with the enthusiasm of his campers.
